Since releasing their debut album Under The Pavement in late 2008, The Travelling Band have gained a cult following with their feel good live shows and honest songwriting. The album was recorded at Cowboy Technical Services in Brooklyn, New York by legendary producer/engineer team Eric Ambel and Tim Hatfield. Originally designed to be a collaborative collective from different Manchester nands, The Travelling Band has became the focus for its members and has morphed into an unstoppable live unit which led them to winning the Glastonbury Festival's Best Newcomer in 2008 and memorable main-stage appearances at Festivals across the world including Glastonbury, Hop Farm, Big Chill, End of The Road, NXNE in Toronto, Tblisi Open Air Festival in Georgia and MIDEM in Cannes.
